Morris Plains Family Day is our biggest fundraiser of the season. This year it's on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 (with a rain date of Sunday, June 28th). We really need your help to make it successful, so we ask for "all hands on deck" and for each family to contribute, preference to give at least an hour of time, if not more. The first shift does NOT count toward the 4-meet minimum volunteer requirement per family! However, since there are only 6 meets this year, we've decided that anyone who takes a SECOND SHIFT, that can count as one volunteer slot. 

Also new for this year...if you will be out of town and are unable to give any time, please consider at least donating some beverages!

With an away meet in the morning, too, we know it's going to be a long day...but it will also be a fun day...ending in some stellar Morris Plains fireworks!

We have volunteer slots available to help set up or break down, and to sell beverages, candy, & glow necklaces under tents at the edge of the parking lot, or to sell ice cream out of the snack bar. In addition to parent helpers, we welcome swimmers (ages 12 and older) to help sell Glow Necklaces in the crowd, in teams of 2 or 3. We also need to borrow some large coolers that day, as well, so please read through the sign-up and help us fill a slot or two!

The Morris Plains Marlins will be marching in the Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. If you plan to march, please meet us in the Borough School back parking lot off of Mountain Way between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM, wearing your Marlins gear! Remember your sun screen/hat/rain gear, as the parade will be rain or shine. It's looking like it may be rain gear for this year. 

Also, please bring a labeled water bottle as it may get hot waiting for the parade to begin and while marching. Roads in the area will closed to parking so please plan accordingly.

Once the Marlins complete the parade route, they can be picked up at the VFW on Route 53. We will plan on waiting along the fence to the right of the entrance driveway. If you are willing to walk with us and to help chaperone, please let us know. We do request that a parent/guardian march with all children who are ages 8 and under.

The swimmers will be handing out bubbles along the parade route, which the team is providing!

Please RSVP so that we have an idea of how many Marlins to expect! Please indicate on your RSVP if you allow your swimmer to be RELEASED at the end of the parade route without a parent/guardian pickup. Please also add a contact phone number in case of emergency. Thank you!
